I grew up a British kid in Yorkshire, England. I was born there and that was home until my family (dad + mom + sister) moved into our cute little duplex in Annapolis, Md when I was nine.
I started my personal relationship with Jesus as a little girl. I knew He loved me and that He was good from a very young age. I loved learning all about Him, but really grew closer to Him after high school. A broken heart and fear of the unknown will do that.
From the moment I started reading my Bible it came to life for me. There were so many things to be discovered and Truths to be revealed. I tested what God said time and time again and He always proved faithful. I learned that the more I became real with Him, the more real He would become to me. I have written in, high-lighted on and journaled about so much in my Bible. He has taught me so many things I’m excited to share with you.
I went to school @ Towson State in Baltimore (Communication degree) and then graduated from Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Texas with a Masters in Religious Ed. I was a youth pastor & teacher while single and living out in Washington State. After much waiting, I finally met the guy who would become my husband. Mark & I married in 2003 and ventured out to Gettysburg, PA to pastor our amazing church. While here we navigated the journey of infertility, but have now been blessed with three wonderful kids.
I currently work at the church part-time doing communication, speaking and helping to lead the women I’m privileged to walk alongside. And the rest of my time…I spend learning how to parent, washing never-ending dishes, planning trips and making Shutterfly books. We do soccer on the weekends, homework after school and s’mores out back as much as we can. Mark & I are navigating the different seasons of family while discovering who we are as individuals and a couple. Life is quite a trip, but knowing God’s in charge makes the ride a lot more fun.
As the years have gone by Jesus is still my favorite and I would chose Him any day. Following Him is the most amazing, life-giving choice I could have ever made.
