Just like many of us, the disciples KNEW Jesus and yet they still wrestled with fear. They were with the creator of the universe in human form and they still relied on what THEY knew in order to navigate their situation. We are not so different.
Questioning God
It’s perfectly alright to ask God when we don’t understand something, especially when we struggle to believe. It’s amidst that vulnerability that we grow and God gets a chance to prove himself.
Fear of the Future
Waiting for the unknown can lead to overwhelming anxiety and fear. The only way we can know how to prepare for the future is to look to the one who knows what it looks like.
Cleaning the Blinds
When we chose to do what we need to do despite the reality we don’t want to do it, there is a far greater reward than we realize.
Following the Leader
…I pray that you choose to follow Jesus with more intentionality this year. That you purpose to listen to what He has to say, and then with full abandon, you do it.
Timing is Everything
God’s timing in our lives can appear so slow and yet when we get a glimpse into what He is doing, everything we know can change in an instant. Are you willing to wait? Will you move when He says, “now”?
Know the Source
The Bible says that Jesus was tempted in every way that we are. That means EVERY WAY. The things he heard in his head were the same as the crazy things we hear in ours.

Why is it so hard to encourage those we are closest to? It can feel so unnatural, but it can bring such life.

Sometimes we must move before we can hear God speak. We must choose to get out of our current situation or comfort zone and allow ourselves to be vulnerable enough to exercise our dependence on God.
